By-Law and Enforcement Services - Request an A Permit

‘A’ permits allow temporary exemption of a by-law granted to allow parking on City streets. 'A' Permits are only issued within the Authorized Resident Parking Zone (ARPZ). The ARPZ is in the vicinity of the Brampton Civic Hospital, in response to challenges in the area, City Council approved the designation. Signs on one side of the street will read “No Parking” by “Permit only” and on the opposite side of the street will read “No Parking”.
 

Designated ARPZ:

  • Asterwind Crescent
  • Coachwhip Road
  • Dandelion Road
  • Dovesong Drive
  • Velvet Grass Lane

‘A’ permits allow temporary exemption of a by-law granted to allow parking on City streets. ONLY exempt from:

  • Parking between 2am and 6am
  • Parking in excess of three hours

Residents are allowed a maximum of 14 days per license plate, per calendar year
 

‘A’ permits cannot be granted for:

  • Oversized Motor Vehicles
  • 6.7m (22 ft) in length or 2.6m (8.5 ft) in height
  • Vehicles without a valid license plate
  • Vehicle interfering with any snow clearing activity
  • Non-Residents of ARPZ

‘A’ permits cannot be obtained online.
