Roads - Traffic Signals and Pedestrian Push Buttons

The City of Brampton operates and repairs traffic signals and related electrical devices, such as pedestrian push-button devices and flashing 40 km/h school zone signs.

The City uses a traffic computer system to coordinate traffic signals at City, Region of Peel, Ministry of Transportation, and 407 ETR intersections. Our goal is to move the greatest number of vehicles through a network of signalized intersections with minimal stops and delays in a safe and efficient manner.

If the Traffic Signal or Pedestrian Push Button has the potential to create a hazard such as exposed wires or a dangling fixture, please call 311 within Brampton or 905-847-2000.
